My name is Naomi Prevatt. I am a licensed practical nurse and the supervisor of the Patient Care Department, Grants Pass Clinic’s largest staffed department. In addition to those duties, I oversee many areas of quality improvement for the Clinic. I supervise 36 medical assistants and nurses who help care for you. I strive to assure that you and your doctor have a dedicated clinical team to do many important daily tasks, such as responding to patient telephone calls, refilling medications, taking vital signs, giving injections, and assisting with various procedures. I also help create and implement workflows within the Clinic. For example, when we receive the results of your colonoscopy a Patient Care team member enters it into a flowsheet making it easier for your provider to access the information and discuss it with you. I help coordinate additional services that we screen for and offer to our patients. You may have noticed a new service we offer by being asked if you have any dental pain or if you’ve had a recent dental visit. The reason you were asked about this is because we now have two dental hygienists providing services in the Clinic to help coordinate dental needs for all of our patients, regardless of having insurance or not. Those are just a few of many things I do at Grants Pass Clinic. I often hear, “I don’t know how you do it all!” For me the answer is easy. I do it because there is nothing more rewarding than working with a team of exceptional nurses and medical assistants who are dedicated to providing exceptional care to you! My care team and your care team make it all worthwhile.
